I have been requested to mention Prof. BJ (Barend Johannes) Venter, since he has been doing research around the South African Venter family for about 18 years. And I am gladly doing so. Unfortunately, I do not have an Internet Web address for him, only an e-mail address and telephone number and I am not going to post that here (privacy policy). If you are a South African Venter, wanting to know more about your ancestry, he is most certainly the person to contact. (His info around 1679 - 1758 is however not so accurate.)
